I’m Wilsdaryon Prescher, a therapist, author, and the founder of Under Prescher. Beyond my credentials, I’m someone who has lived through much of what my clients are still trying to survive. Growing up in the foster care system after experiencing early trauma and abuse, I carried pain in silence for years, unsure of how to process it or where to turn. Out of that journey came Under Prescher, a space built to be the kind of support I once needed: honest, grounded, and deeply human.

 

With over eight years of experience in mental health, I specialize in working with youth, adults, and marginalized communities navigating trauma, addiction, emotional regulation, and identity-based struggles. My approach is trauma-informed, rooted in compassion, and guided by evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy. I work with clients to build coping skills, restore a sense of safety, and begin reclaiming their stories.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work with a minor in Substance Misuse Treatment and am licensed as an LMSW. I’ve served in multiple mental health organizations supporting at-risk populations, and I am the author of This Is Me Trying: Navigating Through a Lifetime of Trauma, a book born from my lived experience of turning pain into healing.

 

The name Under Prescher carries both personal history and purpose. It reflects my last name while honoring the reality of living “under pressure”, the silent weight of trauma, abandonment, and identity struggles. It’s a reclaiming of identity and legacy, and a reminder that pressure doesn’t just break, it can also build. Under Prescher represents the space between survival and growth, where pressure transforms into purpose and power.
